Uttarakhand: Under RTE till now five year old students have been getting admission in class one in government and private schools, but now they will be given admission in class one only after the completion of six years of age.
Under the Right to Education Act in Uttarakhand, students will now get admission in class one after they are six years old. Under the New Education Policy 2020, the cabinet has passed the proposal to amend the Right to Compulsory Child Education Rules, 2011.

According to the officials of the department, the child will now stay in Pre Primary and Bal Vatika for six years.(HB)
