PNG College Ramnagar Hosts Celebrations for International Women’s Day

PNG Government Postgraduate College Ramnagar to Celebrate International Women’s Day with Competitions, Cultural Programs, and Felicitations

Ramnagar: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, various programs will be organized at PNG Government Postgraduate College, Ramnagar. As part of the pre-publicity campaign for International Women’s Day, the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Nainital Center, organized a quiz competition at the college. The winners of the competition were also awarded. The Central Bureau of Communication also held a press conference, in which Program Officer Shraddha Gururani stated that a two-day International Women’s Day celebration is being organized at PNG Government Postgraduate College. As part of this event, a special photo exhibition is being set up by the department.

Dr. Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of the Child Development Protection Commission, Government of Uttarakhand, will be the chief guest for the program. The special guest will be Mohammad Akram, Chairman of the Municipal Council, Ramnagar, and the distinguished guest will be Prof. M.C. Pandey, Principal of PNG College. On this occasion, women who have excelled in various fields will be honored by the chief guest. Additionally, the department will conduct various competitions and cultural programs to raise awareness among the public. Exhibition Officer Bhaskar Joshi provided details about the photo exhibition.

As part of the pre-publicity program, a quiz competition was also organized on the college campus. Moreover, the department conducted a program at the Municipal Council Hall in Ramnagar, where self-help group women participated. The chief guest for this event was Mr. Alok Uniyal, Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, Ramnagar, while Kamal Rana from the Ramnagar Development Block was also present on the stage. In both programs, winners of the quiz competition organized by the department, including Sapna, Vandana, Manoj, Shekhar, Kapil, Parul, Muskan, Rajni Negi, and Meena, were awarded. The event was hosted by Dr. D.N. Joshi.
