Environment Elevates with the newly elected Environment President and Mythologist-cum -Author Snehil Sharma !

Environment has always been in top priorities for UT Chandigarh . From bagging 16th position in Swachh Surveksha 2020 , the work on environment has never stopped . A meeting was held in Community Centre Sector -8 , Chandigarh yesterday . It focused on electing the new President for Environmental Society , Chandigarh . 

Snehil Sharma has been elected as new President by all the members . Snehil Sharma is a renowned mythologist and author of a book “Eternal Science: When eternity meets science”. He is also a theatre artist in Chandigarh and will be playing many roles in upcoming Ramleela event In sector 7 Chandigarh by Navyug Ramleela & Dusshera Committee.

The auspicious meeting was held with the presence of  N.K Jhingan , Rohan , Himanshu, Bhuvan , Mohit , Rajat , Raj Kumar , Sahil , Parveen [Rohit] , Harshit Saini and Sahil Anand. 

Along with the salient elections , environment of Chandigarh was also discussed in the meeting . A deep discussion was held regarding environmental issues existing in the city. Some important issues such as plastic use , cleanliness drive and other pollutants prevailing were given a lot of concern in the same.
