The wrestlers’ Protest was regarding the misdeeds of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh against women wrestlers. Many great women wrestlers like Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat were protesting in Jantar Mantar, Delhi with legendary Bajrang Poonia. It was looking altogether a deed. Slowly and steadily the whole matter went against the central Government. Many politicians from various parties started meeting the wrestlers and started supporting them. Even Bajrang Poonia himself stated that few people are making our protest “Bhadkau”.
Today Supreme Court of India ended the case by stating that FIR has been lodged and Security has been provided to the girls. Even after the verdict, wrestlers said the protest will continue.
The problem arises when students from DU joined the protest and initiated the Slogans of “Azaadi”. They not only demeaned PM Narendra Modi, RSS, and WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Singh but also raised negative slogans against Brahmanism, and Manuism. They were raising Azaadi and Allah Hu Akbar Slogans in the protest, making it purely a communal protest. Many on Social media claim it is a Rajput vs Jat movement.
Bajrang Poonia Today again stated that don’t politicalize the protest. But the reality is that the protest has already been politicalized and few are claiming that it has been funded. Add to that Legendry PT Usha was dishonored too.
