Yamuna Level rising: CM Kejriwal closes all the schools and other educational institutions

YAMUNA LEVEL RISING

DELHI : Due to the rising water level of Yamuna in Delhi, trains are passing through all the four metro bridges on the river with a restricted speed of 30 km per hour. Services on all other corridors are normal. The DMRC tweeted, “Due to rising water level of Yamuna river, entry and exit at Yamuna Bank Metro station has been temporarily closed. However, interchange facility is still available and services are running normally on Blue Line.”
A meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority was held on Thursday to deal with the floods in the national capital Delhi. Giving information about the decision taken in the DDMA meeting, CM Arvind Kejriwal said, all the schools, colleges and universities of Delhi have been closed till Sunday.

Yamuna Bank metro station has been temporarily closed

Except all government offices providing essential services, all other government offices will run on work from home till Sunday. Private offices have also been advised to work from home till Sunday. Meanwhile, the entry of heavy vehicles coming from outside in Delhi has been banned. In view of the rising water level of Yamuna river, as a precautionary measure, the entry of heavy goods vehicles from Singhu border, Badarpur border, Loni border and Chilla border has been banned.
