Let us tell you that the day after the exit polls were released, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi also held a meeting with party candidates, legislative party leaders and heads of state units of the party through video conference. During this, he asked to be vigilant on the day of counting and take necessary steps to prevent any attempt of rigging.

Counting of votes will begin at 8 am on Tuesday. Most exit polls have predicted a landslide majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha elections. Most surveys have predicted the NDA to get more than 350 seats. If the actual results also remain as per the exit poll estimates, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take power with a big majority for the third time. Congress and other constituents of the ‘India’ alliance have rejected the exit polls and claimed that the opposition alliance will form the next government.
