Road accident in Salt area of Almora, death of six month old innocent child
Almora: A road accident took place in Salt area of Almora. A car fell into a deep ditch. A six-month-old child lost his life in this accident, while three members of the family are injured.
A car going from Kotdwar towards Pauri Garhwal fell into a 500 meter deep ditch near Dotiyal of Salt. In the accident, a six-month-old baby traveling with his mother in the car died on the spot. Mother, grandmother and uncle were seriously injured. The injured were taken to CHC Devayal with the help of emergency service 108 and police, where in view of their critical condition, they were referred to a higher center.
Late Friday evening, Amit Negi (32), son of Umed Singh, resident of Dhamandpur, Kotdwar of Pauri Garhwal, was taking his sister-in-law Kiran Negi (23) and wife Deepak Negi in their car number UK-15B- 8057 towards their maternal home Asubakhali village of Pauri Garhwal. Were. Kiran was also accompanied by his six-month-old innocent son Vansh in the car. On the way, Kiran’s mother, who had come to her maternal home in Kingodi Khal, also boarded his vehicle. Since the road via Gauli Khal was very bad, Amit thought it best to go via Dotiyal. Late in the evening, on the road from Jhimar to Dotiyal, his car went out of control and fell into a ditch. During the accident, Kiran jumped out of the car and informed about the incident to her sister Deepa over the phone. After getting information from Deepa, her brother contacted the police and emergency service 108 and informed them about the accident. As soon as the information was received, SI Mohan Chandra of Salt police station proceeded towards the spot with the team but the team could not get information about the spot.
After a lot of hard work, somehow the police reached Kiran and his family with the help of nearby people. Rescue was started and the injured were taken out of the ditch. SI Mohan Chandra said that a six-month old baby died on the spot in the accident. While three other injured were taken to CHC Devyal for treatment. Seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him to a higher center. Said that the reasons for the incident could not be known at present.
Three injured in the car accident were brought to the hospital through 108 service, whose condition was very serious. After first aid, all three have been referred to a higher centre.
