“The Air Force’s largest car rally has commenced and is scheduled to arrive in Dehradun on October 14th.”
Dehradun: A seven thousand km car rally led by the Air Force and Uttarakhand War Memorial will reach Dehradun on October 14 via Siachen, Leh and Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The rally is being organized under the leadership of former Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of Uttarakhand War Memorial, Tarun Vijay and Wing Commander Vijay Prakash Bhatt.
The rally includes 32 Air Force officers and two women officers of the Indian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Ashwani and Major Swati. The former MP said, this is the biggest car rally in the history of the Air Force. The rally will cross Siachen and reach Leh on Tuesday. Where the Lieutenant Governor will welcome and leave for Srinagar. The national anthem will be played at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. After that we will enter Dehradun via Jammu.
He will be welcomed by MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir in Sahaspur. On October 15, the rally will be welcomed at the War Memorial by prominent leaders and students of local military organizations, Uttarakhand. During this time, a special band of the Air Force from Delhi will perform in the memory of the martyrs.
The rally will leave for Guwahati and Tawang via Agra and Lucknow on the morning of 16th October. Group Captain Namit Rawat, in-charge of All India Adventure Cell of Air Force and resident of Dehradun, also participated in the rally.
