Deepika remembers the era of Om Shanti Om: Said- My language and acting were made fun of, learned a lot from negativity

Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with the film Om Shanti Om. This film was a superhit. But despite this, she had to face a lot of criticism. Recently, during a chat show, Deepika told that when her first film was released, her accent and acting were ridiculed. However, she learned a lot from that negativity and improved herself.

In the Live Love Laugh Lecture Series, Deepika Padukone talked about her first film. During this, Deepika said, ‘When my first film Om Shanti Om was released, I had to face a lot of criticism at that time. People made fun of everything from my accent to my acting.’

Deepika said, ‘Negativity is sometimes a good experience. It depends on you how you face those criticisms. Like all those bad reviews motivated me even more. Motivated me to work hard and improve myself. Failure also taught me a lot.’

Farah Khan also said during an interview, ‘Deepika Padukone’s voice was very bad earlier. During Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, she could not speak properly. But when Deepika sang, her face would light up.’

Let us tell you, Deepika received the Best Female Debut Filmfare Award for the film Om Shanti Om. She also received the Best Actress nomination. Deepika’s voice in the film was dubbed by dubbing artist Mona Ghosh Shetty.

Talking about Deepika Padukone’s work front, the actress will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s film Singham Again. This film also stars stars like Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh. This film will be released on November 1.
