The State Executive Committee of Jammu and Kashmir has extended the closure of the educational institutions in the state until further notice. As, the higher authorities has taken this decision by reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the Union Territory.
Apart from this, The committee has announced that there will be no weekend curfew in any of the districts but night curfew will remain from 8 PM to 7 AM.
Moreover, As per the sources, The administration has also capped the number of guests attending indoor and outdoor gatherings to 25.
As per Chief Secretary A K Mehta; there is a need to continue with the existing Covid containment measures in all the districts in view of the uneven trend in the daily Covid cases,”
Mr Mehta also added; Schools and higher educational institutions, including coaching centres, would continue to remain closed for onsite or in-person teaching till further orders. Educational institutions are, however, permitted to seek personal attendance of limited vaccinated staff for administrative purposes.
