The Students of CGC Jhanjeri hosted the Event as a part of of their practical learning!
The auspicious festival of Janmashtami was celebrated by O at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri in its complete fervour with numerous colour events held that stole everyone’s heart. The celebration started with Ganesh Vandana and a beautiful dance was presented by a student. Exhibiting melodious singing a folk song “Chamba Kitni Dur” was sung by another student taking us through the beautiful views of Himachal.
Saraswati Vandana, a dance was presented next by another student. Next, crafted to perfection paintings of Law Building and Engineering Block of CGC Jhanjeri were inaugurated by Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Director Engineering, and Dr. Jaskiran Kaur, Director Management. Motivating and inspirational skit was presented by students next elaborating on why Lord Ganesha is worshiped first and at the start any religious event.
Krishna and Corona, and why the world is suffering from the notorious disease was presented in skit form by students. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, appreciated the work of the students and inspired everyone with his motivational speech. Followed by Umesh Chug, Director KDM Senior Secondary School, came out with words of virtues and appreciated the celebration and colourful presentation put forward by students. He was thanked for his valuable time and presented a memento by Mr. Sahil Kapoor, Associate Director, CGC Jhanjeri.
CGC Jhanjeri is one college that gives more importance on practical learning. This event was managed solely by the students. Department of Student Welfare put the responsibility on student.
