Told that Uttarakhand is a very important state from religious and tourism point of view.
The local public has been demanding for a long time to run metro trains from Kathgodam-Haldwani to these places. If the metro train is operational then the population of Terai region will benefit from it and tourism will also get a boost. Since SIDCUL is located in Rudrapur city and Sitarganj, people from hilly, Terai and other areas of the country work there. But the workers and officers working there have to go by bus or other means, which increases time and expense. If the metro train is operational then the workers and employees working in Sidcul will get a lot of convenience in going to their workplace. He said that there has been a demand to operate the metro train.
