Chandigarh was undisputed cleanest and greenest city of India. Chandigarh is known with a nickname “the city beautiful”. But, under ground reality is far different from it. The name “City Beautiful” seems to be delima. Chandigarh is now at 20th position in Narendra Modi’s cleanest drive survey. Last year, Chandigarh was at 3rd position. This condition of Chandigarh was initiated from 2014, when Kirron Kher became the MP from the UT.
let’s go to 2000s and 1990s, when Chandigarh was a paradise for working class and pensioners. Greenery across the city was increasing the beauty. Dust content is the air was very less. The gutter system, sanitation, water recycling system was precedent for all the other cities and UTs of the country. In a nutshell Chandigarh was cleanest and greenest city of India. 2015 BBC’s list too mentioned Chandigarh as the most perfect city of world. If we see Chandigarh current status all the Chandigarians will complain about following things
These are just pictures, I urge MC officials and other representatives to trace and track such places in Chandigarh. Even, I urge city residents to obey the principles that focus on cleanliness. I urge Narendra Modi to impulse this drive extensively in our cit through our district MP.
