A Pravasi Samman Ceremony will be held soon.

A policy will be brought to make it the country’s favorite wedding destination.

Dehradun, India – In the Migration Commission meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said that effective thinking is needed pause migration. Deep study needs to be done. The Chief Minister also discussed regarding the cooperation of district-level officers.

As per the reports, the state government will organize a Pravasi Samman ceremony around the state foundation day. The government taking the initiative to bring a detailed policy to make Uttarakhand the country’s favorite wedding destination. CM Dhami directed the officials to implement it as soon as possible. He was presiding over the seventh meeting of the Rural Development and Migration Prevention Commission at the Secretariat on Friday.

He directed to conduct an in-depth study of the reasons for migration in hilly areas, conduct rural entrepreneurship development workshops to create awareness about self-employment among the youth, and review the effective implementation of public welfare schemes at the district level. The Chief Minister also talked about taking the cooperation of district-level officers in this. He said that arrangements for effective implementation of the Commission’s suggestions should be ensured at the government level.

He also asked to pay attention to studying the situation of reverse migration in the state and taking advantage of the experiences of the people who have returned to the state. Emphasis on organizing the Pravasi Samman Ceremony organized in the state around the State Foundation Day and focusing on increasing the production of traditional products of the state for the success of the House of Himalayas. In the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr. SS Negi said that the Commission has so far given 21 reports to the state government.

Focus on developing facilities

In these, recommendations have been made regarding strengthening social and economic development and reducing migration in various districts of the state. He believed that the trend of people in the state was moving towards reverse migration. He said that there is a need to focus on taking protective measures to protect crops from wild animals, connecting youth and women in hilly areas with maximum self-employment, and developing wedding facilities at Trijuginaran as well as other religious and tourist places.

Wedding destination policy soon

The Chief Minister said that a policy will soon be prepared to make Uttarakhand a wedding destination. Its results will be visible soon. He said that the environment of Uttarakhand is very suitable for a wedding destination.
