After Pauri, Leopards in Uttarkashi terrorized everyone

Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India. Leopards have become a cause of panic in many areas of Uttarakhand. Schools in Pauri remained closed for several days due to Leopards being active last month, now something similar is happening in Uttarkashi.

School Holiday because of Leopards in Uttarkashi

Schools in Pauri remained closed for several days due to Leopard being active last month, now something similar is happening in Uttarkashi. Here the Education Department Uttarkashi has declared a voluntary holiday for the students in all the schools under Chinyalisaur’s Sankul Tulyada and Sankul Khalsi. The reason is the same, the growing terror of leopards. The education department asked the parents not to send their children to school for the time being due to the threat of Guldar. Despite this appeal, the parents of the students who want to come to school will have to give a written contract regarding the safety of the children. In fact, there is the terror of the leopards in the lower belt area of Chinyalisaur.

Children studying in other schools including Government Inter College Baldogi are not able to go to school since Monday. The parents had said that the school should either declare a voluntary holiday or arrange a vehicle for the children. On this, Block Education Officer Gabbar Singh Negi issued an order on Thursday. The orders were issued to Inter College, Junior High School, High School, Primary School of Sankul Tulyada, and Sankul Khalsi that children should not be called to school for the time being. Let us tell you that last Saturday a woman was killed by a leopard near Badi Mani village. Since then Guldar is seen in different villages of the region. Now the schools in the lower belt have to be closed. Students have been prohibited from coming to school, while all teachers will remain in the school.

The conflict between animals and humans is common in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is the land of many dangerous wild animals that includes Tigers, Elephants, and Leopards. Many times due to wildlife corridors and in the search for easy food, Animals encroach on human fields and even cities. As such these conflicts become so common. It is the duty of the forest department to keep a closer eye on these animals. Human Beings also should not encroach on Jungles. It decreases the forest’s area and disturbs the natural habitat of these wild animals.
