Dehradun – UPCL Director of Operations MR Arya said, with the purchase of about 70 lakh units of electricity from the market, smooth supply is being provided across the state.
Amidst the scorching heat, the electricity demand figure in the state was estimated at 5.9 crore units on Friday also. Meanwhile, at some places there were cuts due to local reasons. However, UPCL management claims that there has been some reduction in rural areas of Udham Singh Nagar.
Even on Friday, the electricity demand figure was estimated at 5.9 crore units. In comparison, about five crore units of electricity is available. UPCL Director Operations MR Arya said, with the purchase of about 70 lakh units of electricity from the market, smooth supply is being provided across the state.
Right now there are no announced or undeclared cuts being made anywhere. Only in Udham Singh Nagar there was a cut of about one and a quarter hour. If there has been any cut, it has been due to local reasons only. On the other hand, UPCL has also claimed smooth supply in Chardham.
