Brave Sister Saves Young Boy from Savage Attack: Community Rallies as Child Battles for Life
Devprayag, Uttarakhand – In a shocking incident in Gosil village, Devprayag, ten-year-old Jaspreet faced a horrifying attack by a man identified as Guldar. Jaspreet, accompanied by his sister, was collecting grass for their cattle when Guldar assaulted him, lifting him off the ground and slamming him into a nearby tree. The brave sister’s screams attracted attention, prompting nearby residents to rush to the scene, forcing the assailant to flee, leaving Jaspreet severely injured.
Guldar’s ruthless attack left Jaspreet with critical head and facial injuries, necessitating urgent medical intervention. The family rushed him to CHC Hindola Khal, from where he was referred to higher medical facilities. Despite efforts, securing a bed proved challenging, leading Jaspreet to be admitted to a private hospital in Dehradun. Doctors have recommended surgery to address his injuries.
In a heartening turn of events, the community has rallied around Jaspreet, with the forest department pledging to cover his medical expenses. Ranger Deeksha Bhatt, overseeing the case, confirmed that the forest personnel have not only stepped up security in the area but are also installing a cage in Gosil village to prevent such incidents in the future.
