New Delhi. 1993 Delhi blasts accused Professor Davinder Singh Bhullar, may be released from jail today. In March 2014, the Supreme Court had stopped the capital punishment to death due to Bhullar’s mental condition. Presently, He was punished to be there in Tihar Jail but has been kept in Amritsar Jail due to health reasons.
The issue of Bhullar’s release raised a lot in the recently concluded. In which the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal was on target of opponents. Akali Dal and BJP had fiercely surrounded the Aam Aadmi Party on this issue. However, you kept putting the responsibility of this on the central government.
BJP Senior leader Manjinder Sirsa on Twitter said that Davinder Bhullar may be released from jail today and further informed that Bhullar was among the 8 Sikh prisoners who were decided to be released by the Narendra Modi government on October 11, 2019, on the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. However, the Kejriwal government did not spare him due to its political compulsions. Sirsa further informed that today there is a meeting of the Sentence Review Committee. It also names Davinderpal Bhullar for release. He said that in the last elections when people asked questions to Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, they were forced to take a decision in this regard.
It is also noted that Prof Bhullar has completed his life time imprisonment.
