Chief Minister Unveils Logo and Website for Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the logo and website for the upcoming Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit, setting ambitious investment targets. In this event held in Dehradun, the Prime Minister announced an investment target of 2.5 lakh crores for the summit.

State Government’s Ongoing Engagement with Industry Leaders

During the logo launch event, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the Uttarakhand state government’s commitment to fostering collaboration with industry leaders and associations. He mentioned that discussions with prominent industrialists took place on August 17th in Dehradun and on August 21st in Delhi, where industry proposals were given serious consideration. These discussions resulted in significant policy improvements, including the MSME Directive, Service Sector Policy, Logistics Policy, and Solar Energy Policy.

Rising Business Enthusiasm in Uttarakhand

The Chief Minister emphasized the growing enthusiasm among entrepreneurs due to the favorable industrial and investment environment in Uttarakhand. Historically known as Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand has been a destination for seekers of peace for centuries. While it continues to attract tourists annually, it is now emerging as a significant investment hub.

Uttarakhand’s Appeal to International Investors

Uttarakhand’s appeal extends to investors from Germany and abroad, who express interest in participating in the state’s development. The state’s natural beauty, efficient one-stop shop for investors, friendly investment policies, proximity to the capital, and robust infrastructure contribute to its status as a premier investment destination.

Recognition in Ease of Doing Business and Export Readiness

Uttarakhand’s achievements in the business sector are noteworthy. It holds the Achiever category in the Ease of Doing Business rankings and ranks first and ninth in the country in the Export Readiness Index published by NITI Aayog.

Expanding Existing Industries

The Chief Minister mentioned that established industries in Uttarakhand are contemplating expansion, reflecting the positive business climate. The Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit isn’t limited to the Ministry of Industry; it involves all sectors. It signifies a collective effort by the people of Uttarakhand to promote economic growth, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the nation’s development.

Humari Feels that Uttarakhand’s focus on attracting investments and fostering a conducive business environment showcases its commitment will not only benefit its residents and potential investors but also increase employment opportunities in the service sector for native youths.
