Zirakpur: Yadvinder Sharma, brother of Shiromani Akali Dal candidate NK Sharma from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency, cornered Aam Aadmi Party and Congress on the issue of corruption in Zirakpur Municipal Council and said that both the political parties today held each other responsible for corruption. Whereas the truth is that in the last seven years, leaders of both political parties have promoted corruption.
Yadvinder Sharma was addressing election public meetings in different wards today in support of his brother NK Sharma. He said that development in Zirakpur constituency is the contribution of Akali Dal.
After the Akali Dal government was out of power, the development of Zirakpur has come to a halt. While enumerating the achievements of the Akali government, Yadvinder said that today the situation is such that no work is done in government offices without the advice of the relatives of the MLA. He said that to end corruption, it is necessary that Akali Dal be made victorious in the Lok Sabha elections.
He said that with N.K. Sharma winning the elections, the stalled development work will start again in Zirakpur, but Zirakpur area will also get the benefit of MP quota schemes. Many dignitaries including former city council chief Kulwinder Sohi were present on this occasion.
