Laldu – Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency N.K. Sharma has said that Derabassi assembly constituency is his workplace. It has been possible only because of the people of Derabassi constituency that he started his political career from the post of a Sarpanch and reached the post of Minister in Punjab and now the people of Patiala will work to seat him in the Parliament of the country.

NK Sharma was addressing election public meetings in Hasanpur, Dappar, Laldu, Dahar, Laldu Mandi during the election campaign today. He said that whenever Akali Dal government has come to power in Punjab, Derabassi has established new dimensions in the matter of development.

Sharma said that due to the wrong policies of the first Congress and now the Aam Aadmi Party government for the last two years, Derabassi community has gone behind by ten years in terms of development. The Akali Dal candidate said that Deependra Singh Dhillon, who was the agent of Patiala MP Maharani Preneet Kaur, is today seeking votes for Dharamveer Gandhi, who has joined Congress from Aam Aadmi Party.

Many old Congressmen are campaigning for Preneet Kaur wearing BJP stripes. Despite being MPs, Preneet Kaur and Gandhi have nothing to show for the development work done in Derabassi area. We have been campaigning for the last one and a half months but there is no information available anywhere in the entire Lok Sabha constituency about the development work done by Preneet Kaur and Gandhi.
