Fishing becomes more important than children’s life

It has been a few days since the month of Shravan has started, the breathtaking views of the rain have wooed everyone, the water with full-motion has started flowing in the rivers, the trees and plants have become refreshing, the animals and birds also have an atmosphere of joy. As the rains continue, the humidity also increases in the weather and the fast flow starts in the rivers, due to this fast flow, fish and other animals also come into the rivers.

We get to see such a wonderful view in the village Saketadi, three kilometers away from the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula, where the Sukhana river starts flowing. But in these beautiful environments, people’s fishing desires also begin to increase.

We all know that the month of Sawan is considered to be the heaviest rainfall season of a year and in this season the interest of fishing becomes festive for the people living in Saketri. Every year, thousands of fishes flowing in the Sukhna river are caught and sold by the people and even Parents are not afraid to see their children fishing in the river that can cost their lives in the midst of the fishing race. They themselves send these children to the Sukhna river to catch fishes. The children are so small that the kids do not even know how to run properly.

A similar case came to light a few years ago when a resident of Bihar, who lived in the village Saktri, named Raju, came for fishing with his younger brother Ranjith, and suddenly due to the strong currents in the river, The child was drowned. Even after hard efforts of the administration, they were not able to save him and after three days the body of that child was found somewhere on the banks of Sukhna river, but that death also has not made any effect on anyone, perhaps they still find more important is to catch fish instead of human life.
