Fraud in Uttarakhand Postal Recruitment

Didn’t know how to write Hindi and became a postal servant in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Department of Posts had announced recruitment for 1200 posts of Branch Post Master and Assistant Branch Post Master in the state. Most of the candidates in the recruitment based on merit are from Punjab, Haryana and other states.

A new feat has come to light in Uttarakhand, a person who did not even know how to write Hindi became a postal servant here. This is not a matter of just one or two people, the number of candidates with such amazing condition can be in hundreds.

In the department’s investigation so far, six cases have come to light, against which a case has been registered. Now the department will also get the documents of other candidates verified. If information is received about candidates who were recruited fraudulently, they will also have to face action.

The Department of Posts had announced recruitment for 1200 posts of Branch Post Master and Assistant Branch Post Master in the state. Most of the candidates in the recruitment based on merit are from Punjab, Haryana and other states. In such a situation, the question is being raised that how did the candidate who did not even know how to write Hindi get selected, while the names of the youth here did not even appear in the merit list.

A++ grade in all subjects including Hindi

Haryana Board gave A++ grade marks in all subjects including Hindi in 10th class to a candidate selected for the post of Dak Sevak. He was selected on this basis, even though he did not know how to write even simple Hindi words. On the other hand, when the Inspector of Uttarakhand Postal Department met Haryana Board officials and wanted to know about the matter, the Board officials shrugged it off saying that marks have been given to the students on the basis of academic background.

13 members of the fraud gang have been arrested

Recently, UP Police had exposed the fraud in the recruitment examination of Postal Department from Meerut. STF arrested 13 members of the gang. It is being speculated that this gang may also be connected to the candidates selected in Uttarakhand.

Place is made in merit only on the basis of board exam marks.

Actually, the merit list prepared for this post is made on the basis of board exam marks. Due to this, due to low marks of the youth of Uttarakhand, their names could not appear in the merit list.

Any wrong candidate will not be selected in the department. In the initial investigation, a case has been registered against three candidates from Chamoli and three from Almora, who achieved success in recruitment through fraudulent means. The documents of all the candidates will also be verified.
