The incident injured the plane crash in Haryana, 349 people died

In Haryana’s Charkhidadri accident 25 years ago, 349 people died. Two planes belonging to Saudi Arabian Airlines and Kazakhstan Airlines collided in the sky.

13 people including Indian Air Force CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were killed in a helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. A total of 14 people including General Rawat, his wife Madhulika were on board the helicopter. This helicopter accident has inflicted the wound of India’s biggest aircraft accident. In Haryana’s Charkhidadri accident 25 years ago, 349 people died.

Charkhi Dadri of Haryana is witness to the worst plane crash in the history of India. Here 25 years ago there was a collision between a cargo plane and a passenger plane in village Tikan Kalan. The accident happened on the evening of 12 November 1996. Two planes belonging to Saudi Arabian Airlines and Kazakhstan Airlines collided in the sky.

Debris had fallen for about 10 km. The government hospital premises at Dadri also fell short to keep the dead body. In the accident, 231 Indians, 18 from Saudi Arabia, nine from Nepal, 3 from Pakistan, 2 from America and one British national were killed. 84 people could not be identified.

This accident is included in the world’s major air accidents. The Charkhi Dadri administration has started the work of preserving the memory of those killed in this accident. On the evening of 12 November 1996, two planes of Saudi Arabian Airlines and Kazakhstan Airlines collided in the sky at Tikan village of Charkhi Dadri. Among the planes that collided, the cargo plane was from Saudi Arabia, while the passenger plane was from Kazakhstan.

The passenger plane had taken off from the capital Delhi, while the second plane was to land in Delhi. After colliding, one of these ships fell in the fields of Tikan Kalan. At 6.30 pm, the Saudi Arabian plane was at an altitude of 14,000 feet. At the same time, the Kazakhstan plane was descending from an altitude of 15,000 feet. During this they collided face to face.

349 people died in the accident. This air crash is considered one of the major air accidents in the world. After the accident, the then Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Chief Minister Bansilal also inspected the spot. The accident was recorded among the 10 biggest air accidents in the world.
