HARYANA PLAYERS SHINE IN COMMONWEALTH GAMES,GET 9 GOLD FOR THE COUNTRY

The players of Haryana have made the country’s name shine on the international stage in the Commonwealth after the Olympics. When the players of Haryana entered the field, they spread their luster everywhere. The state, which has only two percent population of the country, is in a position to win the medal. Till Sunday evening, out of 18 gold medals received by the country, the players of Haryana alone won 9. Of these, 6 gold medals have been found only in wrestling.

Star wrestler Bajrang Punia won India’s first gold in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games 2022. This is Bajrang’s second consecutive gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. Bajrang defeated Canada’s Lachlan McNeil 9-2 in the final.

At the same time, Ravi Dahiya, who won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics, won the gold medal while debuting in the Commonwealth Games. Ravi defeated Nigerian wrestler Wilson 10-0 in the final.
Vinesh Phogat, the cousin of Geeta-Babita, who is known to be the lioness of India, has created a new record by hitting a hat-trick of gold in the Commonwealth Games.

Wrestler Sakshi Malik has created a new record by winning the medal for the third time in the Commonwealth Games. She is the only woman wrestler who has medals in Olympics as well as in Commonwealth also won all three medals gold, silver and bronze medals.

Neetu Ghanghas, the boxer daughter of the village of Bhiwani district of Haryana, called Mini Cuba, has done wonders in the Commonwealth Games. Neetu has won the gold medal in the title match held on Sunday after confirming the silver medal a day earlier.

Haryana wrestler Deepak Poonia has also given gold to India. He defeated Mohammad Inam of Pakistan 3-0 in the final of the 86 kg weight category.

Naveen Malik, a resident of village Pugathala in Sonipat, has also brought laurels by winning the gold medal in 74 kg.

Para powerlifter Sudhir Lath has also brought a moment of happiness to the countrymen in the Commonwealth Games.

Haryana’s boxer Amit Panghal has won the gold medal in the 48-51 kg weight category in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
