The Income Tax Department’s action against the offices and homes of three timber traders in Rudrapur city continues even after 60 hours. The Income Tax Department team opened the seal of the house of businessman Saurabh Gaba in Alliance Colony in the presence of his brother and started the search operation. All three teams are engaged in action and the officials are not ready to tell anything about the action.

The proceedings started by the teams of Income Tax Department Lucknow at 10.30 am on Thursday continued on Saturday also. The team had raided furniture businessman Gulshan Narang’s Narang Furniture Mart in Galla Mandi, residence in Civil Lines, his son Ronik Narang and Ronik’s partner Saurabh Gava’s Vinayak Ply office in Model Colony and Saurabh’s residence in Alliance Colony. The action could not be taken as Saurabh was not at home and it was closed. The teams took information about the business from Gulshan as well as his son Ronik and family members present at his home.

Information about the business, bank accounts, assets as well as transactions of Vinayak Ply and Vinayak Transport was also obtained. Here on Friday afternoon, the Income Tax Department team had sealed Saurabh’s house located in Alliance Colony. Here the team could not contact Vikas Narang. On Friday evening, the Income Tax Department team ended the operation at Narang Furniture Mart located in Galla Mandi and released the mart owner Gulshan Narang. After which Gulshan went home. Here on Saturday morning the Income Tax Department team reached Saurabh’s residence in Alliance Colony. The team opened the seal on the residence in the presence of Saurabh’s brother Nitin Gaba and family members. After this, three family members including Nitin were taken inside the house and started the search operation. During this time, police force has been deployed at the gate of the residence. Here, there are various discussions regarding the raid, but it has not been officially clarified.

Investigation revolving between timber and transport business

The Income Tax Department’s action that has been going on for three days is indicating some major irregularities. According to sources, this action is being taken at the businessmen of Vinayak Ply and Vinayak Transport Company. However, the Income Tax Department has not been able to contact Vikas Narang, the key executive of the transport company. Vikas’s number is said to be switched off since the raid.
