Ferozpur, Punjab. On Lohri eve, the Social orgainization, Mayank Foundation, celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm with students, teachers, parents of the Government High School Jhok Harihar, and gram panchayat. They themed the festivals on the daughters. On the occasion, students in the school premises presented cultural activities to commemorate Lohri. On this occasion, Chief Guest Ratandeep Kaur Sandhu, who is District Program Officer and Avatar Singh, who is chief teacher were present. While addressing the students, she informed about the social, cultural and historical importance of Lohri and pledged to build a better society for the students. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tanjit Bedi, Deepak Narula said that for today the festival of Lohri is specially dedicated to daughters. Two Students “Aarti” and “Sophia” graced the program by singing Lohri songs during the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, all of them greeted each other by distributing peanuts, reveri and sweets and wished everyone to have a golden life. The Stationery was distributed to the students by Mayank Foundation to all the girl students involved in the program. Sarpanch Jathedar Malkit Singh Sandhu, Chairman Nirmal Singh Sandhu, Chairman Gurvinder Singh Sandhu, Sukhdev Singh Sandhu, Gurmeet Singh Uppal, Dr. Tanjit Bedi, Deepak Narula, Rakesh Kumar from Mayank Foundation, Deepak Grover, Rajeev Setia, Ashwani Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Aseem Aggarwal and group staff members were also present.
