-What will the Congress leaders think of the country if they compete to get their photo clicked with their leader on the stage?-Union Minister Smriti
Chandigarh, May 28
Union minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani appealed to the voters of Chandigarh at the Dussehra Ground of Ramdarbar to become the Hanuman of democracy and make BJP victorious.
Smriti Irani had reached the Mahila Shakti Samman rally in support of BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon from Chandigarh late on Tuesday evening.
Seeing the huge crowd of women, she said I have come not only to campaign but also to express my gratitude. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said he has worked to empower women in every field by giving them 33 percent reservation.
He also appealed to the people of Chandigarh to participate enthusiastically in the great festival of democracy on June 1 and contribute in making BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon victorious.
She said in the years 2014 and 2019, the foundation of building a new India along with a developed India was laid by the Prime Minister of the country because the people of the country had worked to make him the PM. Once again, people should do it.
There is an opportunity to strengthen country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi by making Sanjay Tandon victorious from Chandigarh.
She said the country had never thought that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is concerned about the poor and women, would open bank accounts.
Today, for the first time, bank accounts of 23 crore women in the country have been opened after the PM took over. She said earlier women were not able to open bank accounts because they did not have even the minimum amount to keep in the bank account, but in the Modi government, women’s accounts were opened in banks without this hassle. Today, money from government schemes is coming directly into bank accounts.
Pointing towards Priyanka Gandhi, Smriti Irani said I have come to know that recently she had come to Chandigarh to campaign for her candidate Manish Tewari, but while she was there, her leaders were fighting for photos on the stage.
There was competition among Congress leaders just to get photographs clicked. Now, the people of Chandigarh can think that what will the leaders of the party whose leaders are fighting to get photographed, think about the people of the country, the poor and the country?
People of Chandigarh can remember the tenure of Congress government in Chandigarh that Chandigarh did not get even a penny under their government. Congress is contesting elections not for the development of the country but for its legacy and hunger for power.
The Union Minister said when people in the country were in panic due to the global pandemic Corona, the Modi government had worked to provide free Corona vaccine and provide free ration to the poor.
At that time, Congress leaders had also got free vaccines to protect against Corona, but later they also started abusing Modi.
Smriti Irani said if there was a Congress government at the time of Corona, the ration distributed among the poor would have been sold in the market and the free Corona vaccine would have been recovered from Pawan Bansal’s house in Chandigarh.
Referring to the schemes started by the BJP government, the Union Minister said that today poor and needy people are getting the facility of free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh in 27 thousand hospitals of the country due to the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
In the rally, she asked how many people were happy with the construction of Shri Ram temple, on hearing this the rally venue echoed with slogans of Jai Shri Ram. BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon said that this is the first time in the elections that the issue of corruption is not being raised today, whereas since 2014.
Earlier, during elections, the issue was not development but corruption. He appealed to strengthen Modi’s hands and vote for BJP on June 1 for a developed India.
BJP State President Jatinder Pal Malhotra, Ambala BJP candidate Banto Kataria, former Kalka MLA Latika Sharma, National General Secretary Deepti Rawat, Mahila BJP State President Heera Negi, Vice President Poonam Sharma and other leaders welcomed the Union Minister and presented memento.
