Now the way to conduct Panchayat elections in Haryana has been completely cleared. A notification in this regard has been issued with the permission from the Governor, Haryana. Panchayat elections will have to be held before 30 September. On the other hand, the Election Commissioner has also said that the preparations are complete, But the dates can be announced any time in the first week of the next month. A letter in this regard has been issued by Dr Sumita Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary, Development and Panchayat Department of the state. In which citing the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, it has been asked to be done in the state of Haryana before 30th September. The members of all Panchayats, Committees, Zilla Parishads will be elected.
Recently the Haryana State Election Commissioner, Mr. Dhanpat Singh said that after the issuance of the notification by the Development and Panchayat Department, the general elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions would be held in the state in the month of September as per the schedule. Further he told Haryana State Election Commission is determined to conduct fair and transparent elections. The election of Panch will be done by ballot while the election of Zilla Parishad members, Panchayat Samiti members and Sarpanch will be done through EVMs.
As per the sources, Haryana Panchayat Election will be contested in 6228 Gram Panchayats for more than 7000 posts. Election commission is very much ready for this and arranged almost 50 thousand EVMs in 14 thousand booths. News by Deepanshi Chugh
