Truck operators support Akali Dal against AAP government’s breaking of promises

Derrabassi – Sharma said that truck unions will be strengthened again as soon as the government comes to power.

Truck operators of Derabassi area have shown solidarity in support of Shiromani Akali Dal candidate NK Sharma in protest against the violation of the promise made by Punjab’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party to truck operators and truck unions.During the program organized here today, former Truck Union President Gurcharan Singh Pappu, Avtar Singh Jawaharpur, Major Singh Paragpur, truck operator Gurikbal Singh Poonia said that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has started working with the truck operators to get their votes. Many kinds of promises were made earlier. Which he has now forgotten.

After the government came to power, solving the problems of truck operators is a long way off. Now the minority MLAs and Punjab ministers are shying away from even holding meetings with truck operators.
Speaking on this occasion, Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency N.K. Sharma said that after winning the elections, as an MP, he will make every possible effort to solve the problems of truck operators.
He has accused the candidates of BJP, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party of running away from the electoral battle and said that all the three candidates do not have answers to his questions. He said that he has visited all the nine assembly constituencies under the Lok Sabha for the last two months. During this tour, based on the issues raised by the people, five questions each were asked to Preneet Kaur, Dharamveer Gandhi and Balbir Singh.

None of the three candidates have answered these questions till date. He said that Preneet Kaur, Dharamveer and Balbir Singh have become issueless in this election.
All three candidates have not talked to the people of Patiala even once in the name of development. He said that today all the three candidates who were running away from answering his questions have been exposed. Preneet Kaur was the MP here for twenty years but when questions were asked about her working style, she ran away. Same is the condition of Dr. Gandhi and Balbir Singh. Challenging the three candidates, Sharma said that he is ready to debate with them on the issue of development and character.
He said that Derabassi assembly constituency is his home. The development work done by him in the area is being discussed today in Patiala district. On the basis of which people are getting a lot of support and love. On this occasion, many dignitaries including social worker Gurdarshan Singh Saini, Rajinder Singh Issapur, former Sarpanch Basant Singh, Mahinder Sood, Jaspal Singh, Bibi Balwinder Kaur, Jatinder Singh, Karnail Singh were present.
