A young man’s lifeless body was discovered in an irrigation canal

Ramnagar (Nainital), 26 Dec 2023: The dead body of a youth has been found in the irrigation canal in Ramnagar. There was a stir in the area after the dead body was found. Late at night, the police took the body from the canal and took it to the hospital. After identification, a post-mortem of the dead body is being conducted.

Mohalla Moti Mahal resident (28-year-old) Himanshu, son of heavenly Harish had left home for a walk after having dinner on Sunday night. When Himanshu did not reach home for a long time, he was searched. During the search, fire brigade officials recovered Himanshu’s body from the Bhawaniganj irrigation canal.

Police reached the spot, took possession of the dead body, and sent it for post-mortem.
Kotwal Arun Saini said that prima facie the youth died due to excessive intoxication. At present the matter is under investigation. Something can be said only after the post-mortem report. Himanshu also has a 2-month-old son.
