Great work was done by Chandigarh Police . They have recently arrested two smugglers after conducting raids in Chennai on the traces of a smuggler arrested in a 100 million cocaine smuggling. The identities of the accused are said as a 41 years old Vijay Kumar, resident of Anna Nagar, Chennai, and 28-year-old Zafar Sharif, a resident of Ranganathan. The police has shared the information to the Narcotics Control Bureau New Delhi, the Head Office of the Directorate of Enforcement and the Special Task Force Punjab and also obtained three day remand by presenting the accused in both district courts.
A team of officers left for Chennai after the remand of chief smuggler Ashfaq from Chandigarh. During the search there , based on the information provided, the police nabbed the other two accused . Both confessed to the Chennai Police to courier the intoxicating substance from Chandigarh to Australia. The accused were shifted to Chandigarh but the police has yet to find , the delivery receiver in Australia, Indian origin Tommy Sagar including the chief operator in Chennai.
Police arrested Ashfaq with 10 kg of cocaine at the courier company located in Industrial Area Phase-2. 40 days earlier, a courier was sent containing a quintal of more than 50kg of goods from FedEx courier company located in sector-22 Chandigarh. Information has been sent to Australia about hiding wooden chairs , medicated goods and cocain in six boxes.
