In Punjab, two youth were shot dead at 6:30 am on Thursday at Sarhali Road in Patti town of Tarn Taran. A young man was seriously injured in the incident. The deceased youths have been identified as Pabhdeep Singh and Amandeep Singh alias Aman Fauji’s son Balveer Singh, a resident of Patti. The seriously injured Shamsher Singh Shera is also a resident of Patti. The deceased is believed to be close to the Akali leader of the head of Amandeep Singh Patti region. According to the information, this young man was coming back to Pir’s place on Thursday morning. As he was returning, the two young men who came in the Swift car started firing bullets at him. Due to this, Amandeep Singh alias Aman Fauji and Prabhdeep Singh died on the spot. While Shamsher Singh alias Shera was seriously injured. According to people, this may be a case of gang war. But DSP Patti Kuljinder Singh refused to consider the incident gang-wise and said to investigate it. Politics in the strip has also started with this incident. Savinder Singh, political advisor of former Patti MLA Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon, shouted slogans against the MLA and the administration along with his supporters, holding the MLA and local administration responsible for the incident. DSP Patti Kuljinder Singh said that the police is closely investigating the matter. For the moment, he has denied linking the incident to the gang war.
