Uttar Pradesh: There will be examinations for engineering students of all technical universities and polytechnic institutes in the state. Technical Education Secretary Alok Kuman has given this information. He has informed that the final year examinations will be conducted in the third week of July. At the same time, the examinations of first, second and third year students will be held in the last week of July. Multiple choice questions will be asked in this examination to be conducted in online mode.
The Secretary informs that detailed guidelines will be issued by the technical universities by Monday under the broad framework given by the state government. There will also be an online exam for Pharma and Polytechnic students. This order will be applicable to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur and Madan Mohan Malaviya Technological University (MMMUT), Gorakhpur.
Kumar explains that a software is being developed that will work across all devices and processors including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops with minimum connectivity. He said that students can also appear in the examination from home.
Let us inform that there are more than 2.5 lakh students in courses like B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Arch etc. in about 750 engineering institutes and colleges of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, there are about two lakh students studying diploma courses in 1372 polytechnic institutes. All the institutes have been instructed to prepare for the online examination.
