Five people, including two doctors, were arrested for cheating in AIIMS exam, The whole ‘game’ was being run through Telegram

Two doctors of AIIMS, Rishikesh, were also involved in cheating the candidates. A deal was made with the accused for Rs 2 lakh each.

Dehradun Police has arrested five accused of cheating in the MD examination (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test 2024) conducted by AIIMS at All India level. Photographs of question papers were being taken by the candidates from the examination centers and made available to the accused through Telegram.

After which, the accused sent his replies through Telegram. According to the police, two doctors of AIIMS Rishikesh were also involved in cheating the candidates. Rs 50 lakh was taken by the accused from each candidate for passing the MD examination.

Let us tell you that the police had received confidential information that candidates were being forced to cheat through unfair means during the examination in the examination centres. After which a joint team of Rishikesh Police and SOG Dehat was formed.The team arrested five persons sitting in a Tata Safari number DL3CW5412 on Barrage Road late on Sunday night while providing answers to the question papers to the candidates in AIIMS MD examination at the examination center in Kangra Himachal through mobile phones and tabs. Two doctors were also with him.
During interrogation, accused Ajit told that he has three labs through which he takes huge amount of money for cheating candidates in other competitive examinations also.

These were arrested

  • Ajit (44), son of late Satveer Singh, resident of house number 540, Sector 8, District Jind, Haryana.
  • Aman Shivach (24) son of Arjun resident of street number 18/10 Vikas Colony Rohtak Haryana.
  • Vaibhav Kashyap (23) son of Sanjeev Kashyap, resident of 260 Ambika Enclave Sanour Patiala Punjab.
  • Vijul Gaura (31) son of Govind Lal resident of 2/5 Patel Nagar District Hisar Haryana.
  • Jayant (22), son of Prakash, resident of house number 423 Defense Colony, District Hisar, Haryana.
