On the first day, more than 40 lakh adolescents in the age group of 15-18 got the vaccine, this state is at the forefront of vaccination



In Delhi, 20 thousand 900 children in the age group of 15-18 were vaccinated on the first day. Here too a large number of teenagers came forward and took the dose of the vaccine. Apart from this, more than three thousand teenagers got the vaccine in Lakshadweep too.

According to the announcement of the central government, the vaccination of adolescents in the age group of 15-18 started across the country on Monday. The success of the vaccination campaign in India can be gauged from the fact that today about one crore people in the country got the dose of the vaccine. Among those who took more than 40 lakh doses, only teenagers were involved. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, he expressed happiness and congratulated the youth for their active participation in the vaccination campaign.

Meanwhile, the data released by the states till 11 pm has revealed that Gujarat was at the forefront in administering the corona vaccine to children on the first day. Here on the very first day, 4.94 lakh children got the vaccine dose. The Gujarat government has set a target to vaccinate 36 lakh children in the 15-18 age group in the next seven days.

Uttar Pradesh stood second in vaccination of adolescents. On the very first day, about 1.50 lakh children were vaccinated here. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had visited children’s hospitals today and expressed satisfaction over the teenagers coming forward and getting vaccinated. According to officials, in Noida alone, three thousand children got the first dose of the vaccine on the first day.

On the other hand, 20 thousand 900 children in the age group of 15-18 were vaccinated on the first day in Delhi. Here too a large number of teenagers came forward and took the dose of the vaccine. Apart from this, more than three thousand teenagers got the vaccine in Lakshadweep too. Administrator Praful Patel started the vaccination campaign here.

It is worth noting that since the opening of registration on January 1, 51 lakh youth have registered for the Kovid-19 vaccine on the Kovin portal till 8.30 pm on Monday. According to central government data, vaccination of youth in this age group will be completed in the next one to two months.
