Bollywood has more craze of South films. At the box office South’s hindi remake films have a good collection. All well known actors ; Salman Khan to Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor have worked in dubbing of films.
Ajay Devgan film ‘Drishyam’ is a remake of malyalam film named same.
Hera pheri:- People are unaware that the comedy film of Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal Hera pheri is remake of Malyalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’ of the year 1989. The Malyalam film was inspired by 1971 TV film “See the Man Run”. The story of both the films are very similar. After the success of ‘Hera Pheri’ the makers also made the sequel. In 2006 ” Phir Hera Pheri” was released.
Ghazni:- AR Murugadoss’s tamil film Sem was the remake of hindi film “Ghazni”. Surya was in the lead role in tamil version of the film. Asin was the female lead in both( original and remake) the films and Pradeep Rawat became the villian in both films.
Kabir Singh:- ‘Arjun Reddy’ is the Telugu film released in 2017 and dominated the box office. Sandeep Reddy Vanga South’s famous director and director of “Arjun Reddy ” released the hindi version of Arjun Reddy as Kabir Singh in 2019 after two years. Kabir Singh is the highest grossing film at the box office in 2019.
