Last year, in the month of November, Well known lyricist Javed Akhtar, had filed the complaint in the magistrate’s court against Bollywood queen actress Kangana Ranaut. As, the actress had made defamatory statements against him in a television interview, which allegedly damaged his reputation.
However, As per the sources, In the complaint, Javed Akhtar claimed that Kangana Ranaut dragged his name during an interview while referring to a “coterie” existing in Bollywood, following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June last year.
Apparently, On July 27, The Magistrate at Andheri has warned with last chance to Kangana Ranaut to appear before the Court in the defamation case filed by lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Additionally, as per the officials, The Court made it clear that a bailable warrant will be issued against the actress if she fails to appear for the next hearing.
In addition to this, An advocate appearing for actress Kangana Ranaut informed the court that actress was not in the country so she would not be present during the hearing on. She sought exemption from her personal appearance.
So, Now The matter is posted for hearing on September 1.
As per the court, Kangana’s lawyer requested that she’s exempted from personal appearance for the day, which was allowed by the magistrate. However, “The exemption application filed by the advocate of the accused is granted for today as the last chance. The advocate for the accused is directed to keep the accused present on the next date without fail.
