Karni Sena demands change in title of Akshay Kumar movie ‘Prithviraj’

The Karni Sena is once again in the news and this time demands change in title of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’. However, The Rajput sena has issues with the makers of the film which is produced by Yash Raj Films and has demanded a change in the title of the film.

The film is biopic of emperor Prithviraj Chauhan and is directed by Chandraparaksh Dwivedi.

As per the reports ; The president of the Youth Wing of the Karni Sena; Surjeet Singh Rathore imposed three conditions for the film. They added that the film should release for public only after the title change and post-making necessary cuts and edits asked by the sena. However, the sena warned that if Akshay kumar and Aditya Chopra do not accept their demand, they will face a situation same as Sanjay Leela Bhansali faced during Padmaavat.

The three conditions includes:-
• Screening of the film before its release;

•The film has to be shown to the Rajput society;

• Moreover, the title of the film must consist of full name — Veer Yoddha Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’.

As, this is not the first time that the Karni sena has had an issue with a film, earlier also many controversies are there with some movies that includes; Padmaavat , Veer, Laxmi ,Jodha akbar and many more .

Apart from this, Along with Akshay Kumar , Manushi Chillar (Former Miss World ) will be making her acting debut with this film. She will be observed as playing the role Prithviraj Chauhan’s wife ‘Samyukta’.
