Navjot Sidhu breaks silence on leaving Kapil Sharma Show

Navjot Singh Sidhu reveals the reason for leaving Kapil Sharma Show, expresses desire to join again

There was a time when Navjot Singh Sidhu’s poetry used to add charm to any episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, but in 2016, he left the show, leaving many fans disappointed.

Recently, the actor joined Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ with his wife. Since Sidhu’s departure, Archana Puran Singh has been taking charge of the show for five years now. Now Sidhu has finally spoken openly about his sudden exit from the show. Soon after the Phulwa attack, Sidhu had commented on his ex’s account and now while discussing his leaving the show, he said that there were political reasons behind it.

Sidhu refreshed memories of the show

Sidhu refreshed his memories related to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ while talking in another show. He said, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show was a bouquet created by God. No one can take credit for it. It had different fragrances. When Kapil came to me, I had just come out of ‘Bigg Boss’, so we discussed and everything fell into place. Everyone was selected to be a part of that show.

Why did Sidhu leave the show

Revealing the reason for leaving the popular show, he said, ‘There were some political reasons, which I do not want to talk about. There were some other reasons and the bouquet broke. I wish that the bouquet reunites again the way it was. I will be the first to start it. His show is still going very well. Kapil is a genius.’ Many actors who were part of Kapil’s team at that time, such as Upasana Singh, Ali Asgar and Sumona Chakraborty, left the show one after the other.

Kapil’s bad times

He further revealed how he always believed in Kapil’s talent, even during his bad times. He said, ‘When Kapil was not well, he was nervous, he was going through a tough time. People told me that he has broken down. I said Kapil is a genius, you will not have a person as talented as Kapil.

Desire to meet old people

He then went down memory lane. Recalling the old days and expressing his desire to reunite with the original gang, he said, ‘Daadi (Ali Asgar) and everyone were there. I want everyone to get together… Everyone dispersed. Now Gutthi (Sunil Grover) is back. He met me in Goa. He is amazing. He comes for 10-15 minutes and entertains everyone. He is another talented person.’
