The reason for the cancellation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ferozepur rally in Punjab is being told due to security lapse. The Home Ministry has called for a report from the Punjab government. The ministry said in its statement that a lapse in the security of the Prime Minister during his visit to Punjab has come to the fore. His convoy stayed in a flyover for about 15-20 minutes.
When Narendra Modi returned to Bathinda airport after the cancellation of the rally, he also took a jibe at the Congress government of Punjab. According to news agency ANI, Modi told the airport officials – Thank your Chief Minister that I could reach Bathinda airport alive. The BJP said that the cancellation of the Prime Minister’s program is a conspiracy of the Congress. On the other hand, farmers have claimed that the reason for the cancellation of the rally is the farmers’ protest and the unacceptability of Modi among Punjabis. Earlier it was being told that Modi’s rally has been canceled due to bad weather or Corona.
