Rishab Shetty is ready to rock the theatres again, ‘Kantara The Legend Part 1’ will release on this day

Kannada film star and filmmaker Rishab Shetty gave the country a huge surprise hit in 2022. His mythology-based film ‘Kantara’ received tremendous praise from the very first day. Rishab Shetty, who was unknown to the people till now, delivered a blockbuster with this film which collected more worldwide gross than a big star like Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa Part 1’.

Last year, Rishabh had announced that he will explore the mythological story on which his film ‘Kantara’ was based and will make a prequel to ‘Kantara’. After seeing the first look of his project ‘Kantara the Legend: Part 1’, the public has been waiting for it. Now finally Rishabh has revealed the release date of ‘Kantara’.

Rishabh will rock on DussehraRishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara The Legend: Part 1’ story is bringing the original story of the mythology on which the story of ‘Kantara’ was based. In the first film, Rishabh’s lead character Shiva became a medium to show the story of the forest deities Panjurli and Guliga. Now in ‘Kantara The Legend: Part 1’, Rishabh is bringing the story of these forest deities to the big screen.

At the time of the announcement of the film, the public was stunned to see his first look. Now with a new poster, Rishabh has also shared the release date of the film. Sharing the poster on social media, he wrote, ‘That moment has come. The sacred forest has started whispering. Worldwide grand release on 2 October 2025’.

This release date will benefit the film greatly

In 2025, Dussehra will be on October 2 and on this day, a mythology-based story like ‘Kantara the Legend: Part 1’ can make a big splash in theaters. Moreover, Gandhi Jayanti is also a national holiday on this day and October 2 is a Thursday. In such a situation, ‘Kantara the Legend: Part 1’ will get a long week in theaters.

While Allu Arjun’s first pan India release ‘Pushpa’ did a business of more than 350 crores worldwide, the worldwide gross collection of ‘Kantara’ was more than 400 crores. Allu Arjun’s film, already popular among Hindi audiences, earned more than 100 crores in Hindi. While Rishab Shetty’s film ‘Kantara’, a completely new actor for Hindi audiences, did a strong collection of 85 crores in Hindi and came close to ‘Pushpa’.

The popularity of ‘Kantara’ in Hindi will prove to be very beneficial for Rishab Shetty and on top of that, the benefit of the long weekend will also give the film great popularity. Now it will be interesting to see what wonders ‘Kantara’ does on Dussehra 2025. This film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
