5. Total Dhamaal
A film that has attracted kids and adults equally, Total Dhamaal, is the best comedy film of 2019. Starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, Directed by Indra Kumar, Total Dhamaal is the third sequel of Dhamaal series. This film surely is one of the most entertaining films of 2019.
4. Kabir Singh
Directed by Sandeep Vanga, produced by Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, Kabir Singh is one the highest grossing films of 2019. It grossed nearly 380 crores. While the film get the mixed reviews from critics but it was loved by audience.
3. Article 15
The film was equally loved by both audience and critics. The Anubhav Sinha directorial “Article 15” is one of the most important films of 2019. The film is starring Ayushmann Khurrana and is based on Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of any parameter.
2. Manikarnika
Like Rahul Aijaz of Express Tribune said the Manikarnika film has been “one woman show”, the woman surely is Kangana. She herself directed the film. The film is highest budget women centric film ever without any big male star-cast. Though Box Office claimed it as an average performing film but producers claiming it to be a profitable venture. In the polls the film was on top but drives to number two just because of average critical response and not so high box office run.
1. Uri: The Surgical Strike: The best film of 2019
Highly loved by viewers, critics, and top notching on polls clearly makes URI as the best film of 2019. The film easily slapped critics like “Raja Sen” that at the end only nation wins and good content on box office wins. URI was directed by Aditya Dhar. With a-budget of Rs. 25 to 35 crores, the film grossed about Rs 350 crores that makes the film as best film of 2019.
