Yami Gautam expressed happiness over the success of ‘Article 370’ at IFFI
Article 370 : Bollywood actress Yami Gautam has expressed happiness over the success of her film ‘Article 370’ at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Yami Gautam attended the IFFI in Goa for the screening of her film ‘Article 370’ and shared her thoughts on the film and her journey in cinema.
Yami Gautam said, I have always chosen films that are special in some way or the other, and Aditya did the same. He produced this film along with Lokesh. It was not a very popular kind of film, and with that came a lot of questions and suggestions like, ‘Are you sure? Will the audience like this film? Will it connect? There are no songs in it. It is a serious film and based on a documentary. But we were absolutely sure that if this film is well made, has a good story, good performances and is backed by the right team, it will definitely be a success.
It became an important film of this year – Yami
Yami said that she has always consciously decided to choose strong characters, and we also agree with this. She has played strong female characters on screen, who always look different. Article 370 has become an important film of this year with her excellent performance. Yami said, in both ways, it is a well thought out decision. I think if you constantly work in this direction, then the audience, filmmakers, writers, and producers understand that you can do comedy, political thriller, and drama as well.
I am happy to be a part of cinema at this time
Yami revealed how she balances her personal and professional life, and also said that her workload has increased in the last few years. Yami said, Actually, I am busier than ever, and I am ready to balance my personal and professional life. It is a big change, but change does not happen overnight. It requires sacrifice, constant hard work and support from a lot of people. We should celebrate this, and I am happy to be a part of cinema at this time.
