On Thursday, the government of Punjab extended the restrictions of COVID till June 10 .
Additionally, removed the limit on the number of passengers in personal vehicles and allowed the resumption of elective surgeries and OPD in hospitals.
Apart from this, The DCs will also continue to make any adjustments in opening of non-essential shops . Moreover, The CM of Punjab announced that from June 1, the vaccination priority list for 18-45 age group in Punjab will be expanded including shopkeepers and their staff, hospitality sector, industrial workers, street vendors, delivery boys, bus-cab drivers-conductors and members of local bodies.
The Chief Minister during a COVID-19 meeting directed the Health and Medical Education departments to continue to build up the COVID-19 care infrastructure and facilities to deal possible third wave of the pandemic.
