Summer vacation has been declared on Saturday in government, semi-government and private schools of Punjab. All schools of the state will remain closed from May 24 to June 23.
Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla has instructed the teachers to stay connected with the students through online medium even during the holiday. Singla said that educational institutions were already closed for students due to the Covid-19 epidemic, now school teachers and other staff will have vacation for a month. Singla said that in addition to taking necessary steps to make the safety of students necessary, the Department of Education has worked hard to raise the standard of education in schools, which is reflected in the expansion of admissions and improvement in results. Singla said that after the closure of the school from last year due to Covid, the teachers of the education department are teaching students with the help of different online mediums including mobile applications and TV channels. He said that this year too, teachers are helping students in all possible ways to make syllabus online.
