After the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha of the country, President Draupadi Murmu addressed both the houses. During this, she told what will be the priority of the government in the coming time. She also told about the preparations to make the army self-reliant. She also mentioned the efforts of the government for peace in the North-East. The President said that after six decades, a stable government with full majority has been formed in the country. She said that people have shown trust in this government for the third time. People know that only this government can fulfill their aspirations. The 18th Lok Sabha is historic in many ways. This Lok Sabha was formed in the early years of Amrit Kaal. The government is going to present the first budget of this term. This budget will be an effective document of the far-reaching policies and futuristic vision of the government. Along with big economic and social decisions, many historic steps will also be seen in this budget. - Focus on farmers
Referring to farmers, the President said, 20 thousand crores were transferred to the farmers. We will make farmers as self-reliant as possible. The President said, “My government has laid special emphasis on the development of farmers. My government has brought many such schemes which are proving to be very beneficial for them. The government is working towards the storage of agricultural products. My government has increased the MSP (minimum support price) for agricultural produce. The demand for organic products is increasing worldwide. Indian farmers are capable of meeting this demand. The President said that my government is giving equal importance to all three pillars of the economy – manufacturing, services and agriculture. PLI schemes and ease of doing business are increasing investment and employment opportunities on a large scale. Along with the traditional sector, the sunrise sector is also being promoted on mission mode. The President further said that the resolve to reform, perform and transform has made India the fastest growing economy in the world today. - Mention of lasting peace in the North East
In her address, the President said that my government has increased the allocation for the North-East by 10 times. Development work is being carried forward in every sector in the North-East. A semi-conductor plant is being built in Assam at a cost of Rs 27 thousand crores. My government is continuously working for permanent peace in the North-East. Many old disputes have been resolved in the last 10 years. The work of removing AFSPA in a phased manner by carrying out rapid development in the disturbed areas of the North East is also underway. We are increasing investment in green industries, which has also increased green jobs. My government is making indigenous assistive devices for Divyang brothers and sisters. The President said that my government has brought 10 lakh poor people out of the poverty line. During the tenure of the government, the poor have been uplifted in the last decade. Apart from this, a new era of women empowerment started during the tenure of my government. Schemes like PM-Janman worth more than Rs 24 thousand crore are becoming a medium for the upliftment of extremely backward tribal groups today. - Emergency was also mentioned

For the first time, my government made the poor feel that the government is at their service. In the difficult times of Corona, the government started the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana to provide free ration to 80 crore people. My government is providing the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to 55 crore beneficiaries. The work of opening 25 thousand Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the country is also going on rapidly. Now all the elderly above 70 years of age will also get the benefit of free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
