Anil Kumar, a farmer of village Pabnawa, is presenting Nazeer for those who say that farming is a loss-making deal. In two and a half months from 2.5 acres of land, he has earned a profit of about 2.5 lakh rupees. Breaking the traditional crop cycle of paddy, wheat, Anil decided to produce vegetables from this time.
Started the cultivation of Gheya and Bitter gourd in the months of April and May. It cost about two lakh rupees to install both and so far, in about two and a half months, this experimental progressive farmer has sold vegetables worth four and a half lakh rupees. That is, a direct net profit of about 2.5 lakh rupees. Anil did not limit his field to just ghee and bitter gourd. Tomatoes were grown in the Gheya field and cucumber vines were planted in the bitter gourd field.
Horticulture officers come to see the farm
Progressive farmer Anil informed that District Horticulture Officer Dr. Pramod Kumar, Block Horticulture Advisor Sahil Banwala, Fieldman Karandeep Singh visit the vegetable field from time to time and guide. If the business of vegetable production starts, then the farmers will definitely get rich. Traders buy vegetables from the farm itself and sometimes have to sell them in the mandis. Received a good mood, so there is happiness on the face too.

District Horticulture Officer Dr. Pramod Kumar says that the government has launched several important schemes to increase the production per acre for the farmers, especially the smallholder farmers. In which the farmer can cultivate fruits, flowers, pulses and oilseeds in view of diversification of crops. Grants are also given regarding these.To increase the area of orchards in the district, a target of 775 acres has been set by the government. The grant amount given by the government has been increased substantially. There is a provision of giving a total of Rs 50,000 per acre, including Rs 30,000 for the first year and Rs 10,000 in the second and third year, for planting new orchards.
