Bihar Police detained 6 people from Jharkhand’s Deoghar in NEET paper leak case

Jharkhand(Deoghar): Recently, after the NEET exam, the matter of paper leak came to light. Now the strings of paper leak are also being linked to Bihar and Jharkhand. Regarding this, many teams of Bihar Police are continuously engaged in action. In this sequence, the team of Bihar Police reached Deoghar in Jharkhand. Here the Bihar Police has detained 6 people from Deoghar district of Jharkhand in connection with the alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam ‘NEET’. An official gave this information on Saturday.

Giving information about the case, the officer said that on Friday night, 6 people were detained from a house near All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar under Devipura police station area. Sub-divisional Police Officer (Deoghar Sadar) Ritwik Srivastava said, “Bihar Police had informed us. The suspects have been detained on the basis of our identification. All the suspects have been taken to Bihar. “He said that the suspects were allegedly staying at the house of a person named Jhunnu Singh.

Let us tell you that according to the statement issued by Deoghar Police, the suspects have been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Bittu, Baldev Kumar alias Chintu, Prashant Kumar alias Kaju, Ajit Kumar, Rajiv Kumar alias Karu and Panku Kumar. All of them are residents of Nalanda district of Bihar. Actually, the National Examination Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET-UG examination on May 5, in which about 24 lakh candidates participated. Its results were declared on June 4, but after that there were allegations of question paper leakage and other irregularities in states like Bihar.

Let us tell you that the NEET exam was held on 5 May. As soon as the police got information about the paper leak, they reached there, but the paper was found burnt and booklet number 6136488 was recovered. According to information received from sources, this booklet is from a center in Hazaribagh, due to which it is believed that the paper was leaked from Jharkhand itself. At the same time, 19 people have been arrested after getting concrete evidence. At present, the police is searching for other people involved in this conspiracy.
