Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat targeted Captain Amarinder Singh amidst the tussle of Punjab Congress. Rawat said the recent Captain’s statements are as if he is under some pressure. Rawat said that the Captain should not become a helper of the anti-farmer BJP. It is time to stand with Sonia Gandhi. Rawat said there was no truth in the reports that Captain Amarinder Singh was insulted by the Punjab Congress. Rawat said Captain Amarinder had failed to keep his promises on important issues like bargadi, drugs and electricity despite constant reminders from allies and the party leadership. I discussed these issues with Captain Sahib at least five times but to no avail.
Rawat said that the meeting of the legislature party was convened consciously. The Captain said that he would not come to the meeting. What the Congress party has done so far is to honor Captain Amarinder Singh and to boost the party’s prospects in the 2022 assembly elections. Rawat said there was a general perception that the Captain and Badal were helping each other and there was a secret pact between them. Several ministers came to Delhi complaining that the Congress could not win under Capt.
